hiya forumateers! :)

here's something a l'il different for today, perhaps:

whatsa best symbols + exchanges to use for following the nikkei 225 ?

i'm checking about 5 different ones now to see what kinda action
may spring to life, but i thought i'd search here & then ask ya's
as well too, eh?

right now i'm waiting to see what @NKD#, NN#, SNS#, NUA#, @NK#, @NIY#
may produce... that's prob all but the right ones, i'm kinda thinking ;)

thanks for any insight! lbfvt

and aside from that as well, i was trying out GPY.X which worked yesterday
but not today, it would seem. any idea what happened there too?

Hi,

For the GPY.X:

CME has reported an issue with these S&P GSCI cash indexes. The issue is that these indexes are repeating a stale value. The CME has informed us that problem has been identified as being with the exchange's source. Some of the DTN symbols affected include GNX.X, GPY.X, GSM.X, GSO.X, GSV.X, GXX.X, GYY.X, GTY.X, GVY.X.

I will look into the CME symbols...rather odd.

I am not the one to go for for Nikkei 225 advice, but hopefully someone here is able to help you out!

Kind regards,

Sarah

Hi lbfvt,

Unfortunately...the Nikkei contracts available through DTN are the worst ones. You want the Osaka contracts. Either the mini or the full size. These are not available through DTN. Completely forget about the CME contract. The best you can do through DTN is use the SGX contract. Not a good choice I think, but is the best you can hope for with DTN.

With kind regards,
MK
