Hello,
I have a trial of IQFeed and I have purchased QCollector for DTN. I am trying to download a sample of time & sales [say LEH (NYSE)] but I keep getting the following error:
Windows socket error: No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it (10061), on API 'connect'
Has anyone come across this before. When I check the connection using the manager I see that the feed is up and running. I have one week to figure this out to decide whether I will add DTN to my list of feeds.
Thanks

I was able to connect to this without any unusual issues. I would suggest attempting a reboot to reset the network connections and if you have further issues to call me at 800-397-7000 x3323 and I will be happy to help get everything configured.

Thanks Tim. I will try that. I thought it might be a firewall thing so I will look into that too.

I recently had this issue reported to me again and simply closing the software down and restarting it corrected this issue for him. I just wanted to note it here for others having this issue as a possible solution.
Thanks for letting us know P.

Am I correct in saying that QCollector does not work with the new IQFEED client software? I have been using QCollector for awhile but, after upgrading to the new IQFEED client, I have been unable to get QCollector to load.

Thank you. I sent them an inquiry a few days ago but have not heard back.

MSS --- Original message by mss on May 9, 2007 11:55 AM A response to your question was sent to you on Monday. Perhaps you don't have your email filters set up correctly? You should see a message with subject "Re: Tradeworks Software feedback". In any case, let me respond again here.: 1. I'm not sure what you mean by "cannot load QCollector". Do you mean the program won't start up? Are you seeing any error messages? 2. I suggest you go to our web site at http://www.mechtrading.com/qcollector/dtn/download.htm and install the latest version of QCollector For DTN IQFeed. I haven't received any other reports of problems running QCollector with the new release of the IQFeed client software. Regards, Dave DeLuca Tradeworks Software http://www.mechtrading.com

My copy is working again. My problems apparently related to how I installed the new version of Qcollector as opposed to how Qcollector works with IQFEED.
