I'm trying to figure out what symbols are valid for the NASD?
I downloaded the mktsymbols.txt and grep on NASDAQ,NMS,SMCAP.
Here's what came back:
NASDAQ = 21778
NMS = 2837
SMCAP = 597

Can someone please specify which ones I have access to. I only subscribe to the NASD.

you have access to all symbols. If you are only authorized for real time nasdaq, then you will get RT on all Nasdaq, ie NMS, SMCAP, OTCBB. All other data will be delayed.
