BEfore I posted this, I checked for old posts on the topic and found three from late last year requesting seconds in the time stamp. As I have spent a week synthesizing such, I am not desparate, but it seems that seconds from the source would be better than my seconds imposed on you timestamps (already imposed on exchange traffic).

The answers the last years posts seemed generally positive. Have I missed how to do this?

You haven't missed anything Terry. Unfortunately getting the second resolution into the feed has take MUCH longer than we had hoped due to some priority changes within our development staff. New server code which implements the second resolution is now going through final development testing and will be turned over to QA by the end of the year. Assuming all goes well with testing, we are hoping to get this out by mid Q1.

I am also very anxious to know about the status of your company's project on adding seconds to the time stamp, as my current and private research is in developing high-frequency trading systems. Could you possibly provide a (rough) estimate of the date on which this feature becomes available??

Thanks a lot,

Regarding the seconds in the time-stamp....

I am checking with the developers to see when that may be ready for release.

Thank you for your patience.

I don't have a date for when this may be released. We are no longer giving release estimates as in the past it has only set false expectations because of the constant priority changes required to maintain the exchange feeds. For example, due to changes in exchange requlations for Nymex and Comex recently received by DTN, our server team will need to be pulled off of other projects in order to ensure compliance. This will unfortunately cause the testing and final development of our new server system to be pushed back. About all I can say is we do have second resolution running on our Pre-Production system and we want to get it released as badly as our customers...
