sgill -Interested User- Posts: 3 Joined: Jun 21, 2013	Posted: Jun 21, 2013 08:31 AM Msg. 1 of 2 I'm evaluating whether IQFeed will be a good fit for my application. It is critical that I receive all tick data for the symbols I've subscribed to. In the documentation I've look at so far I don't see anything ensuring that I won't miss any data in the event of an outage of some sort (DTN, ISP, my server, etc). Can you confirm whether or not IQFeed has the ability to catch up the data data that would have been transmitted during the outage so no data is missing (delayed now of course) or out of order? I had been looking at NxCore which provides this capability but I'd prefer the IQFeed API.
DTN_Steve_S -DTN Guru- Posts: 2093 Joined: Nov 21, 2005	Posted: Jun 21, 2013 08:40 AM Msg. 2 of 2 IQFeed doesn't have a tape recording feature like NxCore but it does provide 120 days of tick by tick backfill data available that you can download to backfill any outages you might experience. This historical data includes trade date/time, price, size, market center, trade conditions as well as the bid/ask price at the time the trade occurred. The tick data from history will be delivered in the same order as it was received from the exchange (which is also the same order it would have been received in the real-time streaming feed).
