Hi all

I am new to currency trading and would like to first look at some data. Can anyone please point me to the symbol for the following pairs ?

EUR/USD
USD/JPY
GBP/USD
USD/CHF
USD/CAD
EUR/JPY
AUD/USD
---------

It's a fundamental question, but may be someone who has it handy can assist. Thanks a lot!

It depends which Forex package you subscribe to. The symbol guide is available by going to www.iqfeed.net and clicking "Symbol Guide" or directly at http://www.iqfeed.net/symbolguide/index.cfm?symbolguide=guide&displayaction=support§ion=guide&web=iqfeed

Basic Forex includes Barclays and FXCM data.
Premium Forex add TenFore which has multiple contributors.

For Basic, I would suggest using the FXCM data which has symbology of EURUSD.FXCM
For Premium, I would suggest using the .COMP symbol which is EURUSD.COMP.

Thanks Jay. I didn't realize I needed a subscription for it. I thought what is referred to as 6E is available with basic subscription (I must admit I don't understand the differences very well)

Hello, the 6E is the EuroFX future from the CME Globex exchange. Which our Symbol is @EU# for the Continuous contract or @EUM10 for the June 2010 contract. This is included with the basic IQFeed service but will not be in real-time rather it will be delayed by 10 minutes. For the Contracts to be in real-time you would need to sign up for the CME Exchange which is currently $67 per month and covers everything that is on the CME Exchange.

As to the other symbols that you have listed those symbols are;

EUR/USD - @EU# - Euro Continuous Contract
USD/JPY - @JY# - Japanese Yen Continuous
GBP/USD - @BP# - British Pound
USD/CHF - @SF# - Swiss Franc
USD/CAD - @CD# - Canadian Dollar
EUR/JPY - @EY# - EuroYen
AUD/USD - @AD# - Australian Dollar

If you have any other problems or questions please let us know.
