In order to ensure the best support for futures, futures options and spreads contracts that trade further out than 10 years, DTN.IQ/IQFeed has transitioned its futures symbology to a 2-digit year-code format.
Although this change was released to customers on March 1, 2010, we have continued to support the old 1-digit year-code format in order to provide a smooth transition for our customers and 3rd party software providers.
Effective April 5, 2010, DTN.IQ/IQFeed will only support the new 2-digit year-code symbology. In order to ensure your charts, watch lists, spreadsheets, etc continue to function beyond April 5, please modify your software to utilize this new symbology now. Using the older 1-digit year-code symbols after April 5 will cause you to receive an "Invalid Symbol" or similar error.
Examples:
If you currently use @ESM0, you must change to @ESM10
If you currently use QCLJ0, you must change to QCLJ10
If you currently use @CZ1, you must change to @CZ11
If you currently use +CK0, you must change to +CK10
If you currently use any "front month" symbology that ends in "#", there is no change needed.
