Right now it seems that we can use the IEOptions file that lists all the previous options symbols. The problem with that is it requires the file to be downloaded separately and it is not updated very often.
So, it would be really nice if that was an API that was kept up to date and could be queried like the current OptionChain Lookup or even just to allow the current calls to look backward instead of only forward. |

The goal is to have the file updated by February 28th, 2021.

Also, I have submitted a formal request that this functionality be added to the Option Chains API. We will notify you when there is any further news on it.

Current estimate is June or July.

Once we complete the data server move I have been assured that the file updates are next to be completed.
